The Angel View Inn

Lounge Bar | Restaurant | Courtyard | Function Suites | The Surrounding Area

The Angel View Inn is an expansive, winding combination of buildings within its own 7 acres and is conveniently positioned just minutes from the A1 in the North of the UK.

This is just so far that we’re easy to find, but hear none of the noise from the traffic.

The Angel View Inn is the ‘complete’ venue

Inside the Angel View InnWe are an expansive and ‘complete’ venue; we even have our very own ghost, which is conversed about far and wide!

The Inn was originally built as farmhouse and stables. The stonework, layout and form of the old buildings can clearly be seen, along with the old pulley system for lifting bales of hay into the hayloft above the stables.

Over the years, the building has been transformed into a fantastic, flexible venue within which our guests have access to

  • Numerous bar and lounge areas (capacity up to 300 people)
  • Our hotel (27 rooms)
  • Our restaurant (40 seats)
  • The Mulberry Suite Function Room (capacity is 120* people)
  • The Vineyard Suite Function Room (capacity is 40* people)
  • The Angel View Inn Courtyard

(*function room capacities are dependant on the set up of the room)

Please take your time and use this section of our website to learn about each of the areas of The Angel View Inn in turn.

A drink in the Lounge Bar …

Inside the Angel View InnThe real strength of the bar and lounge area of The Angel View Inn is its scale and flexibility.

Whilst the exposed stonework, lush carpeting, dark wood floors and exposed wooden beams stretch throughout the split level seating areas, the layout is such that the interior feels like it ‘works’ as one complete space or broken down into smaller, cozier segments.

Sitting comfortably

The seating is a mix of deep, built in upholstered benches, carved wooden and bentwood chairs and leather settees.

Warm, welcoming and well stocked!

A wood burner keeps guests warm and happy, as does the wide assortment of bottled and draft beers, lagers and ciders, which include:

  • Fosters Inside the Angel View Inn
  • John Smith Extra Cold
  • Strongbow
  • Woodpecker
  • Kronenburg Blanc
  • Kronenburg 1664 Cold Premier
  • Guinness Extra Cold
  • John Smiths Extra Smooth

Additionally, there are two draft guest ales (changed regularly), a fine array of spirits, a range of liqueurs and for the connoisseur, a fantastic selection of excellent malt whiskeys.

Quiz Night

Wednesday night is quiz night at the Angel View where everyone is welcome to join in. Guests compete for cash and drink prizes … it’s a seriously fun quiz!

Open (nearly) all hours
