Booking your wedding
The Angel View Inn is a perfect and therefore an extremely popular North East wedding venue so here we will describe how each and every part of the Inn can be used for your perfect day.
The venue
The Mulberry Suite
The Mulberry Suite is the larger of our function rooms. It can be laid out in a variety of styles to suit your wedding requirements.
It has access through the conservatory to the main courtyard and garden, which makes this room excellent for wedding receptions.
We can cater for up to 80 guests when having a silver service wedding breakfast or up to 120 guests for an evening buffet wedding (seating for 90).
The Mulberry Suite has it’s own bar and dance floor making it the ideal place for you to celebrate both your wedding day and evening reception.
The Vineyard Suite
The Vineyard Suite is a popular room offering a delightful setting for smaller wedding receptions.
The room looks out onto the east courtyard and is suitable for up to
30 guests for a daytime reception.
The room is also ideal for your arrival drinks reception.
The Restaurant
The Restaurant provides an ideal setting for a more intimate wedding celebration.
It is traditionally decorated and is situated towards the front of the building with splendid views of the Angel.
It can hold up to 30 people for an informal Wedding Reception.
The Courtyard
The courtyard is the perfect location for a few extra photographs of your special wedding day. On pleasant days it is also a wonderful place to hold your arrivals drinks reception.

The Hotel
The hotel reception area is warm and welcoming for your wedding
guests.
There’s a red leather seating area, historical images of how our building has changed over the years and there will always be someone there to welcome you and your wedding party.

The hotel contains a mixture of standard and superior twins and doubles, all are ensuite and many have views of the world famous Angel of The North.
All of our rooms are clean, spacious, well furnished, very reasonably priced and with the following available for your wedding guests:

Menus and drinks
The food and drink available at The Angel view Inn is second to none.
We understand that you want perfect food on your perfect day; so this is what we’ll provide for you. Our chef has spent a lot of time putting together the menu choices for your special occasion and uses only trusted local suppliers to ensure you only get the best for your special day.
Our Head chef is always on hand for any advice you may require on your
menu choices and is happy to consider any dishes not listed on the
menu.

Booking your wedding

There’s information here for you too so please do take your time
and have a good read. But as we really do want to learn all about your
requirements in person, please do call us as this costs you nothing but
your time.
Booking my wedding – what should I be doing when? And how does the process work?
As we’ve mentioned, we really should meet and chat, however this section of our website will let you know a little more about the process.First, check with The Angel View Inn to see if the date you have in mind is available and make a provisional booking. Your provisional booking will be held for 14 days.
Confirm your booking by returning the contract together with a deposit of £250.00.
Six months before your wedding you should meet with the wedding coordinator to go through the following.
- Provisional Guest Numbers
- Provisional Timings
- Menu Choices
- Extras Choices
We will use this information to provide you with an estimate of the final cost.
Five weeks before the big day we will need confirmed numbers and menu choices. We will then provide your final invoice, which will be payable no later than 7 days after the date on the invoice.
Please ensure you let us know if any of your guests have food allergies. Dishes may contain traces of nuts
